Trail Description: Very scenic riding over a variety of terrain on mostly groomed single path trails and Forest Service roads. While Hungry Horse provides a local map, the trails aren't well marked. I would strongly recommend that you have a "Trails Illustrated" map produced by the National Geographic, and avaliable from the Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area or National Geographic (map 796).
Very well maintained campground nestled back from the highway among pine and maple trees. Horses are required to be kept in stalls. The overall cleanliness and feel is of a class A campground.
